Materials:  

This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions

 

 

Plugins:

  • Filters <ICNET Software>  Filters Unlimited 2.0
  • &<Bkg Kaleidoscope> - Kaleidoscope 5 * - Import into Filters Unlimited
  • Tramages - Gradient, Spokes Ratio Maker & Legolator
  • Toadies - What Are You?
  • VM Texture - Papercut * - Import into Filters Unlimited
  • AP [Lines] - Lines - SilverLining
  • Transparency - Eliminate Black
  • [AFS Import] - BORFILM & sqborder2 * - Import into Filters Unlimited
  • MuRa’s Meister - Perspective Tiling
 

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Copy the Pick Tool Preset to the Presets folder of PSP
  • Copy the  Mask files to the Mask folder of PSP
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Preset, it will be imported automatically

  • PSP 9  Users (or earlier versions): If you do not have the 20/20 mask needed for this tutorial you can download it HERE - Copy the 20/20 mask file to the mask folder of PSP

     

In PSP 14 & 15 there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

 

Colors:

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #8899a9

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #fcfcb2

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

Open a New Transparent image of 900 x 600 px

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects - Plugins - <ICNET Software>  Filters Unlimited  - &<Bkg Kaleidoscope> - Kaleidoscope 5

Layers - Duplicate 

Image - Mirror

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this layer to 50

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Effects - Distortion Effects - Pixelate

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selection Tool - Rectangle   - Custom Selection:    
 

Fill with the Foregroundcolor 

Selections - Select None

Fill with the Gradient

Layers - Load/Save Mask - Load Mask from Disk - Narah_mask_0335

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Layers - Merge - Merge Group

Image - Resize - 45% - Resize all layers not checked

Image - Mirror

 Effects - Image Effects - Offset

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen - REPEAT ONCE ( do not use sharpen more, the effect will be to strong!)

Effects  3D Effects - DropShadow - Color: #000000

Edit - Copy

On your work image: Edit  - Paste As New Layer

Fill with the Gradient

Effects - Plugins - <I.C.NET Software> - Filters Unlimited 2.0 - VM Texture - Paper Cut

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light" and the Layer Opacity to 28

Layer Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor back to color and change to #ffffff

Layers - New Raster Layer

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selection Tool - Rectangle   - Custom Selection:    

Effects - Plugins - AP [Lines] - Lines - SilverLining - GridPaper

NOTE: If you are using other colors you can play with the 3 colors at the bottom

Selections - Select None

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light" and the Layer Opacity to 72
