This translation is written with PSP15 but can also be made with other PSP versions

Preparations:

  • Copy the Selection files to the Selections folder of PSP
  • Double Click on the Eye Candy Presets, they will be imported automatically
  • Save the Flaming Pear Preset to your Hard Drive

From PSP 14 and higher versions there is no option for Image - Mirror & Image -  Flip There is a new option but this does not give the same result except when the tube/image covers the whole image from side to side There is a easy way to add the old Mirror and Flip options to the Image Menu I have written a tutorial you can find it HERE

Note: When working with your own colors, play with the Blend Mode and/or Opacity at your own discretion

  • Set your Foregroundcolor to #8e8b89

  • Set your Backgroundcolor to #cbcac8

Color Palette: Set your Foregroundcolor to Foreground/Background Gradient (Corel_06_029) - Style: Radial

 

 

The tutorial:

01

Open a new transparent image of 900 x 600 px

Fill with the Gradient

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 25

Selections - Select All

Open Tube "Alies 770-woman dressed in drapes-05022012" 

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use the tube provided in the Materials for this step, otherwise the result will be different. You can colorize it to match your work.

Edit - Copy

Minimize to tray , you need it again later

On your work image:  Edit - Paste Into Selection

Selections - Select None

Effects - Image Effects - Seamless Tiling

Adjust - Blur - Radial Blur

Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - Msb_Sel_Silent-witness_01

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Selections - Select None

View - Rulers

Pull the left and right side of your image a littl outwards like this:

Hit the K key (or depending on your PSP version the D key) of your keyboard to activate the Pick Tool/Deformation tool

Pull the Left and Right Node to the edge of the image, exactly on 0 and 900 px (this is important!!)

Hit the M key of your Keyboard to remove the Nodes

View  - Rulers

Effects - Distortion Effects - Polar Coordinates

Layers  Duplicate

Image - Mirror

Image - Flip

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 50


Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Effects - Plugins - Simple - Left Right Wrap

 Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - Msb_Sel_Silent-witness_02

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Selections - Select None

Note: Do this next step only if you have a line in the middle of your image, if not go to step 06

Selection Tool - Rectangle   - Custom Selection:    

Adjust - Blur - Gaussian Blur - 25 ( This softens the line  a little)

Selections - Select None

Open Tube "aclis_paisaje_02_19_07_2011" 

Edit - Copy

On your work image:  Edit - Paste As New Layer

Note: If you are using tubes and colors of your own,  it is best to use this tube provided in the Materials for this step, because a lot of the next steps are based on this tube, if you do want to use a different scenery make sure it has a Horizon in about the same spot, about 320 px at the left side, turn on your viewers to get the right spot)

Image - Resize - 120% - Resize all Layers not checked

Edit - Repeat Resize ( the tube coveres the whole image, if you use a tube of your own this also have to be the case)

 Selections - Load/Save Selection - Load Selection From Disk - again Msb_Sel_Silent-witness_02

Selections - Invert

Selections - Promote Selection to Layer

Layer Palette - Click on the Second Layer from the Top

 Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 53

Keep selected!

Color Palette: Set the Foreground Color back to color and change to #474643

Layers - New Raster Layer

Selections - Invert

Fill the Selection with the Foregroundcolor

Selections - Modify - Contract - 5 px

Edit - Cut (Or hit the Delete Key of your Keyboard)
Effects  3D Effects - Dropshadow - Color #000000


Repeat with the Vertical and Horizontal Offset to Minus  5

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Layer Opacity of this Layer to 60

Layers - Merge - Merge Down

Selections - Select None

Layer Palette - Click on the Top Layer

Layer Palette - Double click on this Layer and set the Blend Mode to "Soft Light" and the Layer Opacity to 47

No need to move ( The Blend Mode is already set to Soft Light)

Adjust - One Step Photo Fix ( If you do not have this option you can skip it, perhaps you also not need to do this step if you are using a different tube)

Adjust - Sharpness - Sharpen

Move like this:

Add your name or watermark, save as JPG file and you're done!
